Vince Zampella, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in the state of California he was 55 years old.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
