Former Physician Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 charges he is charged with:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
