Esteemed Star The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
Stateside performer Finn, who featured in popular programs including "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday following treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, according to news outlets.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They added that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".
An Extensive Career on Screen
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a regular part on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, playing a social organizer known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on several hit series, such as:
- The King of Queens
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for playing Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles encompass "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
A Life in Improv
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils during his career and it's nearly impossible to find a person anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote online.
The actor is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
