Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's significant top-flight fixture against London rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe suffered after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca declared. “The whole team is delighted.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in every contest, netting two goals.

After joining from City in the previous year, he has recorded 45 goals and 29 assists in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our best player, we are pleased he is back, we need to give him time to be completely ready,” Maresca continued. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do great things for this club in the future.”

2. Everton Get No Reason for Failed Idrissa Gueye Red Card Challenge

Everton were unsuccessful in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a physical confrontation with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's narrow win at Old Trafford.

The 36-year-old Senegal player was dismissed only early on into the game after striking Keane amid a dispute over a misplaced pass.

The player promptly expressed regret, and the pair appeared reconciled afterwards in a light-hearted social media post.

However, the appeal against the red card was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, leaving Everton depleted for their next match against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” manager the manager said. “No explanation was provided for the rejection but we did appeal it.”

When asked about any further fallout from the incident, Moyes remarked: “The matter was resolved instantly, it was done, that was it, we moved on quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Third Story: Wissa Trains with The Magpies for First Time since Setback

Newcastle United's recent acquisition Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee injury shortly after his move from Brentford in the autumn.

Manager Eddie Howe announced the news on Friday but kept private a potential return date for the player.

Newcastle signed the striker for a significant fee to fill the void left by Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool for a record-breaking sum.

Regrettably, Wissa was injured while on national team service before he could play his first game for Newcastle.

“He is doing well, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was really pleased with how he looked,” Howe commented. “It was his initial competitive session with the team. Let’s see how he reacts today.”

Howe continued: “We’ve got [a return date] in mind, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We wish to prevent any disappointment. Naturally, we want to utilize him as quickly.”

Additionally, Kieran Trippier will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring issue.

The Hammers manager Nuno Espírito Santo has insisted that Liverpool' recent poor form “should not be a focus” as his team gets ready to take on the struggling top-flight title holders.

The club's boss Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the team's home fixture against Brighton on the weekend.

The English player missed Thursday's Europa League game against Malmö due to a back issue.

Murillo was feeling his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 Europa League victory, but Dyche said the player “should be fine”.

However, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to miss out.

6. Glasner: European Loss Won't Hinder Crystal Palace

The Eagles head coach Oliver Glasner feels that the setback of midweek's Conference League defeat to the French side is a sign of how far the team has advanced in challenging on two fronts.
